Re: Town Hall Duex (OoC Thread)

I dunn know, but I heard something about threads going over 500 post is bad for RPOL.net. So I figured it was time to close that one.

I'll close our adventure thread once we get through this rp section.

Re: Town Hall Duex (OoC Thread)

no arena!

I played one of those, I went undeated for my first 14 fights, and hated it.
I left at my first loss - figuring it was a good time to 'retire'.

Re: Town Hall Duex (OoC Thread)

Man, we kinda missed the 500 post limit on the old one...only about 400 off :p
Speaking of which, our current adventure is getting a little lengthy too...we gonna start a new thread for that too?

Re: Town Hall Duex (OoC Thread)

Yeah Quin, i am going to close it too, but I was kinda waiting to see what happens.

I'll start a new thread once we change corse of action, i.e going deeper into mine, going back to Sundabar, going on to felbarr, or what ever else you guys decide.

speaking of that: If you guys want we can skip ahead to the corse that you decide, or we can continue to role play it. Either way is good and fun for me, so it is up to you guys.

It seems to me that we are heading to Felbarr to negotiate our pay. Am I right here, guys?

Re: Town Hall Duex (OoC Thread)

I'm kind of confused on who really owns this mine at this point. Don't we still have half of our pay waiting for us back in Sundabar?

Re: Town Hall Duex (OoC Thread)

Hey, if the dwarves say that it's their mine, I don't mind going to Felbarr first, pick up their pay, and then go to Sundabar afterwards and if we are really lucky and don't talk too much, get paid again.

Of course, we could mention the dwarves to Drace after we get paid.. again.

Re: Town Hall Duex (OoC Thread)

Well, I'm quite pleased with the haul already, so I'll leave the negotiating up to you guys.  But for me, looting 2 materwork weapons and a diamond worth more than 10000 gp makes Quindil a happy little elf.

I like your thinking, my friend.  I had much the same idea when, which I sorta mentioned to Vespian.  Of course we gotta report the truth to Drace - but what conclusions he draws from it are up to him.

After collecting all we can - we might even be able to charge Drace for the addional information.  Depending on what we find at Felbarr, of course.

I knew that score of 17 (soon to be 18) in intelligence would come useful. How would you poor warrior brutes survive without the magnificence of Pello?

Erdthar would be okay, hes' got that survivor thing going on. Vesp, would be totally lost.

H'mmm,,, I wouldn't mind a weapons upgrade. A +1 to the chain MuMu would be nice.

A nasty DM would make a stone that valuable almost immpossible to sell, at least at anything approaching retail, outside of a major market like Waterdeep or such.

Re: Town Hall Duex (OoC Thread)

But a Montey Haul DM, which are the only good DM's, would let you snag full asking price, as it is a trade good, in the lowliest hamlet in the realms!

ha ha!

Not that being a trade good has anything to do with anything, but I just saw a couple weeks back in the PHB that gems and art should net their whole appraisal value. I didn't realize that, up to this point I've only been giving half price on gems to players.

Re: Town Hall Duex (OoC Thread)

Hamlets have a GP limit of 100gp, and average around 1000gp in total wealth.

Yeah, trade goods and selling loot are at the beginning of the equipment section in the PHB.

Didn't I DM for you guys once?  As I remember, we had more trouble fighting the stream and the brush then we did fighting the goblins.

Indeed, the loot we have now is great. Pello's idea of trying to get rewarded twice is great though.

Re: Town Hall Duex (OoC Thread)

I know it'll be near impossible to sell...but it's still 10000gp in the back pocket (and besides, we couldn't buy anything worth 10000 gp unless we were at a place where we could sell it).  And I like double rewards (or even triple) too, I'm just not much of a negotiator...I'll leave that up to people with a positive modifier in Charisma.

Re: Town Hall Duex (OoC Thread)

I have one of those, whadda call, Negative Cha mods too.

But I don't like cheating people.  I don't mind letting them cheat themselves though.  If Drace thinks he can hire me to steal a mine for him, he deserves what he gets.  And if the dwarves back  in Felbarr sold the place - then we still rescued their people...
