Re: Which Way (rd4)?

Falk: 20
Pello: 11
Enemy: 7 (-46hp)
Erdthar: 7 (Max HP:76, current: 1)
Quindill: 5

Falk lets go of another spell so that he can cast more healing magic upon Erdthar.

Pello blast the demon with three missile like bolts.

The demon frustrated that Erdthar still stands unleashes its full attack upon the Orc again. Striking out with both claws and biting deep with its teeth. The two claws strike and cut but the creature seems off balance as it tries to bite. (18, 23 Hit!, 21off) The two hits send Erdthar back a step and nearly put him into unconsciousness

Erdthar takes another step away from the demon and picks up the magically enchanted axe.

Quindil strikes out for an attack but misses, he looks down at his axe and quickly sees why. His last attack when he hit the demon left his blade covered in acid. The acid has now completely ruined the axe blade, making the axe useless. (Axe hp 0/5)

Sorry no map yet. Erdthar moved back ten feet.

Attack Roll: 13
His attack, however, goes wide.

Quindil Liahstia rolled 13 using 1d20+7. Attack.

Knowing that the demon wants to kill him next, Falk steps 5ft. to where Erd was before, drops his large battleaxe, pulls out his shield and adopts a total defense for this round, focusing solely on trying to not be killed.

Currently no weapon, but have shield. AC is 26

Enemy: 7 (-46hp)
Erdthar: 7 (Max HP:76, current: 1)
Quindill: 5

Falk moves forward to take Erdthar's place as the large orc withdraws.

Pello mutters under his breath....

The demon smiles as Falk steps forward. The beast lashes out at Falk shreading with its claws and teeth. Falks strong stance keeps the beast at bay for the most part, only one of the claws made its way past his defenses. (27hit, -6hp)

Erdthar catches his breat and starts to look very week as his rage subsides.

Quindill with one weapon gone tries to hit with his word, but he can not.

Falk gets the axe (Move action?) and takes a swing, but fights pretty conservatively.

Falk Zumbe rolled 23 using 1d20+5. Attack Roll.

Because it's magic I get a reflex saving throw right? With my huge +2 reflex save!

Falk Zumbe rolled 12 using 1d20+2. Saving Throw!.

Stopping his ruminations, with an "Orcus dammit!" Pello instead reaches down and pulls a wand from his belt.

Aiming it at the demon, he unleashes a single missile of pure force, that slams into it.

"FALK SMASH!"

Invoking Tempus' power, Falk's muscles seem to grow massive. His face red with anger as for a few fleeting seconds, his body simply turns into a ruthless instrument of destruction. He drops his shield, takes his axe in both hands, and makes a powerful swing.

Invoked Strength Domain activated power: +5 strength. Power attack for -2 attack, +4 damage. Flanking +2. +11 attack total.

Falk Zumbe rolled 15 using 1d8+12. damage.
Falk Zumbe rolled 14 using 1d20+11. attack roll.

Falk's axe can be heard slicing the air, but his consumed mind causes his swing to miss. The thud of the axe hitting the ground sends shockwaves through Falk's axe and subsequently to his hands. His rage is quickly fading to disapointment.

As the demon tries to shred into Falk. It takes two powerful swings neither can connect, but its bite finds the mark. (27 hit, -12hp) The demon smiles at Falk not paying any attention to Quindil.

Erdthar tears apart the loot looking for teh cure potion. He finds it and downs it. +15hp

Quindill catches the demon off gaurd and stabs his small sword into its side. The demon looks over at him quickly with a nasty smile showing its teeth. The demon tries to turn toward Quindill when its life force slowly fades and it falls to the ground in a pile of ashes.

Silince fills the room for a moment as the adventurers look around at each other, happy and shocked that the battle is over.

At the sudden cessation of fighting, Pello risks a look over his shoulder, and then spins around when it becomes apparent that the demon is dead. From the expression on his face its clear that he was going nowhere. He'd been standing ready to head into the fight the entire time!

His lecturing tone is on "That is a Babau. A demon. Best fought with magical weapons and fire. Oh, and that slime covering is pretty corrosive. I wouldn't touch it with anything you'd like to keep."

Falk moves over to Erd and takes 30 seconds to cast some minor cure spells on him, as well as casts a quick cure light wounds on himself.

Falk Zumbe rolled 7 using 1d8+5. Cure Light Wounds.
Cast 5x Cure Minor Wounds on Erdthar. No spells left.

After the casting, Falk, physically and mentally drained, wearily leans on his borrowed corroded battle axe, and replaces the shield and Large Waraxe that he dropped.

"Hmm.. let's see.." Pello starts digging into his pack, pulling things out as he mentions them "A half dozen falchions, a fine scimitar, a couple of knives, a neatly crafted crossbow. Oh, and look here!"

With some trouble Pello manages to maneuver a large heavy crossbow out of the opening on his pack "I actually think this one is magical."

He digs deeper and pulls out a wand "Oh and Falk, catch!" he tosses the wand across the room "Stick o' healing. Purchasable in all larger, merchantile temples. Don't use it all at once."

After a bit more rummaging, he pulls his upper body out of the bag "Oh, and there's some thunderstones and holy water too, in case anyone should be interested. You ain't getting the fire bottles though. I'm keeping them safe from misuse."

Re: Which Way (rd4)?

The group goes about resting for a bit, the staircase seems to be the only entrance and exit to this room other than the grate in the floor and ceiling. So taking watch is no problem for one sentry at a time.

While on watch a few of you poke around the room looking for anything interesting. A stack of weapons were found in the north east corner of the room, they seem to have come from the once tortured skeletons that are scattered around the room, who knows how long they have been there. Most of the weapons seem to be of normal make, but then Quindill catches sight of a nice long sword, once he cleans off the dust the blade shines with a gold tinge, the pummel is extremely well crafted and resembles the likings of a dragon.

Erdthar looks over Quindill’s shoulder and frowns a bit when he doesn’t see any nice axes. He starts to rummage the rest of the room when Pello speaks up and points to the east wall, where a Skelton hangs from a rack. ”that is an orc skull?  Erdthar moves over to inspect and to his delight a beautifully made double axe lays covered in centuries of dust upon the floor. He picks it up and his eyes grow big. Both blades are extremely well honed, one of the blades looks to have a lightning bolt etched into it. The shaft of the axe has some ancient text carved into it, Erdthar does not understand the text, but as he lifts up the weapon he realizes how well balanced it is.

Falk scans the area as he kicks a pile of bones, beneath the bones shines a lovely battleaxe that would be to the liking of Tempus. The blade is sharp and well decorated with etchings of flame. The flames flow down the axe head and twist around the long handle down to a golden globe at the base.

Pello looks around and smiles as all his warrior friends find some dandy weapons. He worries not as he searches through the desk on the south east wall. He finds himself a few interesting books that he throws in his bag, one of the books catches his attention and he starts to read a bit out of it. Quindill wanders over near Pello and looks at the desk oddly. He reaches out grabs hold of the left side of the desk and looks at Pello ”watch this.” He pushes in on the side of the desk and the panel rotates around revealing a nice hiding spot. The opening puffs out some dust as it slides…. Inside a very interesting miniature pot sets in the void. Inspecting the small pot that barley fills both of the gnome’s hands, one can see intricate flames etched in the side, some scripting is found along the bottom.

OoC: Everyone full hp and spells if you cast them!
Quindill: +2 Longsword (gold tinge, Dragon Pummel)
Erdthar:  +2 Double Axe (One head has Lightning bolt etching, shaft has carved text)
Falk: +2 Battleaxe (Flames etched in blade and down shaft, gold globe pummel)
Pello: Some kind of funky little pot (Flames etched around it with text around the bottom) Also found 1 spell book with spells up to 6th level. (Pello Pick 3 new spells)
