Re: Keep on Marching

To keep people from simply quiting a game when they didn't want to be in it anymore. It's terribly irritating as a GM having to guess whether people have dropped out, or a simply busy and will be back.

Usually telling the GM that you want to quit isn't more difficult than a single line in a PM.

I do not believe the GM is paying attention...msg 289 is rather clear.

Right. Usually it isn't a problem. In this case it is. Have you talked with the admins?

Re: Keep on Marching

I'm playing with an old lord of the rings buddie, and he knows more about NCsoft than me. I really don't have a vendetta against any gaming company but turbine, who absolutely destroyed lotro. He was saying he didn't like them (ncsoft) very much. I don't have an opinion either way, but GW2 is good fun, it's just different. I've been pretty loyal to blizzard over the years, returning again and again because the clones don't really hold a candle to the original. Only reason I stayed at lotro was for the story, and some friends I made along the way. It would be cool to bum around with you from time to time, chat on skype or whatever, that's kinda what we do. Just throwing an invite out there because I miss hanging with you brother. I hope everything is well with you and your family, God bless.

Hey, make it easy,, show me how you can make a toon on GW2 at least half as hot as the character creator can in COH,,

Re: Keep on Marching

For anybody wondering about the new 5th edition D&D, I recommend you go to Youtube and check out the videos by Nerdarchy,, they pretty much cover about any aspect of 5E that you would want to know, and they pretty much got me sold,, and that's after I bought the Players Handbook and put it aside as my Pathfinder collection is already pretty extensive,, but I could do both.

Let's see,,

Revenge of the Forgotten Sword of Spines, a slightly off beat path, in the Forgotten Realms.

A beginning 5E game where nobody is expected to know all the rules as we'll figure them out as we go. As in the previous Sword of Spines, RP, a healthy sense of humor and creative thinking can be rewarded as much as traditional combat success, if not more.

Spine of Swords: Shadows of Candle Keep

I am building the game threads now. It should be a familiar layout as I am totally copying Myth's format, just changing the names.

I couldn't find it, is it made yet?

I thought it would be cool to do it like those guys in the you tube video did over that Skype chat program with all the die roller and everything built in.

Re: Keep on Marching

yea I just went to roll20.net

seems like it's free; maybe we could have the post game and a few live sessions in the mix.

Friday Saturday a couple times a month or something?

Re: Keep on Marching

It took me awhile to get back in the groove. But yeah, I got a new game rolling here at RPOL. 5e rules. Minimum post of 1 a day. Which with the phones people have now and shit, is pretty easy to do. Let me know if you want in. I would love to roll with you guys again.

Hey all.
How is it going?
Vespian - how do you like 5e?  I've found that I still prefer 3/3.5/pathfinder myself.

Re: Keep on Marching

Yeah, My 5.0 game burned brilliantly and then snuffed..
Too many people using their phones, which should be awesome cause now you can post anywhere, anytime, but they were somehow missing so much of everybody else's post and mine,, and I really got tired of repeating my self for the 3rd, 4th, 5th time when I was like, "Just get on a computer that has a large screen so you can read everything!"

Anyways, I do miss you old man, hell, we started gaming together back in, what 2002? So even if we can't do another RPOL game, I would still like to get a game rolling with you, and whoever of the old crew that we could dig up.
