Combat conditions

Seeing as it is just before high moon, what is the visibility like in the alley between the two buildings? Will we need light sources?

The moon is low and cast dark shadows but the alley is not well lit. People usually don’t travel the back alleys after dark, of course you get the occasional drunk that tries to take a short cut here and there. Typically after dark Sundabar gets a bit rough.

So, looking down from the roof, does the alley appear to be in shadowy illumination or darkness (PH, pg. 164)?
If in shadowy illumination, how far can Argost see before it becomes darkness?

Also, since we don't know the location of the moon, would Pello and Argost be silhouetted against it relative to the alley or would they be in darkness relative to the alley?

Sorry, just trying to figure out what level of natural concealment Argost might have and what level of light he might need to provide to prevent our foes from getting concealment relative to him...

Shadowy illumination. can see about 40' before things get hard to see.

your shadows do not cast down in the alley. They cast behind you if looking at the alley.

Nolo: Casting some spells and sneaking on mages

Nolo is going to support Vesp and Falk, I am going to try and use Detect Thoughts and see if I can give them a heads up on the arrival of the mages.  So I need to be within 60 ft of where we suspect they will enter the alley from.  I rolled a hide check and added it to my post.

My placement on the map is wrong. According to my last post in which I moved, I should be standing directly above the figure, in the same row of squares only on the roof...
