~Common Knowledge

~Plots

~Rumors

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

~The Confederacy: The present member settlements of the Confederacy of the Silver Marches include Citadel Adbar, Citadel Felbarr, Deadsnows, Everlund, Jalanthar, Mithral Hall, Quaervarr, Silverymoon, and Sundabar.

~The Watch Tower Wall: A construction project known as the "Watch Tower Wall" is under way in the Northern Nether Mtns near the Everlund trail over looking Moon Pass. The "Watch Tower Wall" will help in the defense of the pass, in the hopes of increasing trade traffic from Everlund to Sundabar. It is a joint effort project with workers from Sundabar, Rauvincross, and Jalanthar

~Bloodaxe Mercenary Company: Very popular with the locals this Mercenary Company has been known to come to the city's aid at but a moments notice. They hire on trustworthy blade's to patrol the surrounding area and rout out enemy forces.  In order to become a part of the Bloodaxe Company, one must prove their worth by completing a job with no payment other than the plunder from the job itself, and that will also be split with the company. All plunder is split 50/50 with the Bloodaxe Company. In return for service the Bloodaxe offer all member's a 20% discount off of supplies purchased through the Company's supply house. Once a member, pay is good, the Bloodaxe pay per job and usually at a very reasonable rate plus they share  50% of the plunder.

~Trade Roads: With the rise of the Confederacy, trade is steadily increasing in the north. Sundabar’s Trade Mercantile along with some Felbarrian Merchants have decided to jointly fund upcoming road improvement projects. Their first order of business is to secure the road from Felbar to Sundabar, building guard post and garrisons along the way. This project if successful will help King Warcrown keep his hold on his mighty fortress as well as bring new opportunities to Homesteaders and Prospectors.

~Telkoun and his Beast: The Wizard Telkoun resides close to the Sundabar Vale, in a mighty tower located in the Nether Mountains. For the most part the wizard minds his own, but on more than one occasion his fell creatures have been seen roaming the land harassing locals. Recently there have been reports of caravan raids near Rauvincross. If the raids turn out to be connected to Telkoun then action will need to be taken, the locals have already assumed the worst, pinning the raids to Telkoun, but no proof as of yet.

~Cave In: A runner from the "Watch Tower Wall" has returned from the Nether Mtns. with news of a cave in. With resources low they are asking for a team to plot a rescue attempt and research the cause of the cave in.

~Orc Encampments: Sheildsar patrols report Orc troop movement coming from the Rauvin Mtns. near Felbarr. Warriors needed to disperse Orc encampments and send them back to their mountain caves! Report to "Master's Hall" for duty.

~Crypt: Sundabar Crypt reports acts of Burglary and Vandalism. Report to Vlad Cramkeria crypt keeper for information.

~Beast of a Feather: Telkoun’s flying beasts spotted near Rauvincross, several villagers gone missing.

~Lost Helm of Brattor’s Thrall:
 ---------------------------------Contract----------------------------------
I Dunbar Gemaxe herby proclaim The Crazy Sons of a Gnoll as a legitimately sponsored mercenary company for the following task.

Objective: Find and return the lost Helm of Brattor’s Thrall.

Terms: Upon successful return of the artifact, each surviving member of the mercenary company known as The Crazy Son’s of a Gnoll will be rewarded with 1000gp each. Paid from the coffers of the Gem Axe Mining Co.

Any remaining loot found by said mercenary company is theirs to do as they see fit. We ask, but do not require that all dwarven artifacts be rightfully returned to their families’ heirs.

Supplies: 1000gp worth of expedition supplies. To be picked up in Jalanthar.

Contacts: Dunbar Gemaxe of Felbarr. Zornun The Warty Magician of Jalanthar.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

~Moon Pass: Fell Beast of Moon Pass....???

~Supposed Buried Netherese Ruins: Have been discovered near Moon Pass, large amounts of treasure reportedly recovered....???

~Goblin and Bandit Kingdoms: Kingdoms of bandits, goblins or both...???

~Creatures in the Night: Rumor has it that a Sheildsar was murdered as he took his watch along the city walls. His partner reports that creatures of the night took him away in the full moon light. He was later found in a storage cabinet in one of the barracks along the wall, he was badly wounded and appears to have bled out. There has been no official report from the city authorities on this matter. Citizens are worried for their lives...???

~Fletcher’s Down: Ancient Temple buried somewhere in Fletcher’s Down … ???

~Need party to Escort caravan of supplies to Felbarr. Danger heavy Orc activity. Apply at own risk report to "Master's Hall".(If inquired about you find that the City of Sundabar has opened its coffers to any willing individuals that would brave the wilds of the North to help re-supply Citadel Felbarr. Three caravans will be leaving at day break. The city has offered 250gp per caravan that make it safely to Felbarr. Payment on completion.)

~Need stout lads!! Apply in person at 120 IronLeaf. (If inquired about you find that this was posted by a wealthy land owner who has recently purchased an old Diamond mine in the Rauvin foothills. The mine was purchased from an old dwarven miner that could no longer support the mine due to the cost of upkeep. The main cost being, to keep the mines clear of monsters or worse. Now this new owner of the mines is asking that you go and secure his mine before he and his small group of miners go and set up camp. He will pay a total of 700GP, he is willing to give 1/2 as down payment for supplies.)

~Need: Scouts and Warriors to fill the ranks of the "Bloodaxe Mercenary Company". Steady work and good pay, apply at the Guild Hall located at "The Master's Hall".(If inquired about you find that the Bloodaxe company pays per job, each job is assessed and paid a decent fee. In order to become a part of the Bloodaxe Company, one must prove their worth by completing a job with no payment other than the plunder from the job itself, and that will also be split with the company. All plunder is split 50 50 with the Company. In return for service the Bloodaxe offer all member's a 20% discount off of supplies purchased through the Company.)

Citizens of the Vale

Molly
Female Human Commoner
Molly is a short old toothless woman that wears her long white hair up tightly in a bun. When encountered on the street she is friendly yet over spoken, contrasting her from the average citizen. She’s a local street merchant born and raised in the Vale. This old woman knows a little something about everything. Need a job? She’s got one. Or she’ll find one. She deals in various fine goods ranging from old antiques to sugar coated almonds. Her prices are fair and she reports her 5% tax to the city each night.

Baughzwerth
Male Ibixian Fighter/Expert

Baughzwerth is an almost seven foot tall Ibixian with muscle bound arms and a gap toothed grin. He is originally from high within the Nether Mtns. But has long since been a member of the Sundabar community. He served his time in the “Bloody Blades” and gained the reputation of a fearless head hunter and brave warrior, one man claims to have seen Baughzwerth take an Orc’s head off in one swipe with his bare hand. Although his Great axe is never far from his side, he has retired from the mercenaries’ life to become a master brewer. His brew is famed throughout the Vale for its persistent ability to cause extreme heart burn. Some say they have spewed forth gouts of flame after a hard night of drinking, they also say the following morning's headache is stronger than Helm himself, and those are mighty words in these parts. Not overly friendly but never straight out rude, Baughzwerth, is never afraid to tell a tale, spread a rumor, or just gossip with the town folk.

Master Drace
Male Human Aristocrat

Master Drace or as a common man would say “that good fer nothing low down back stabbing wanna be nobleman.” Is just that, “a want to be nobleman”. However Sundabar does not abide by the governing systems of most cities, no here in Sundabar Drace is just another wealthy land and property owner with no more say in city affairs than Farmer Jim. He does however have his hand in a few of the wealthier merchant guilds. He also owns many businesses here in Sundabar and elsewhere in the Vale. Most of his businesses are headed and ran by other individuals; he uses them as figure pieces. Building them up with promises of riches and fame, only to turn his back on them when the Council comes looking for backed taxes putting the blame on their shoulders, or accusing them of embezzlement and theft. Although many have misfortune, not all of Drace’s partners have such bad luck, many of them have actually risen up from there common shop keep positions to own paying businesses of their own. With his many businesses and even more enemies Drace has found a need to keep an ample supply of blades on call, he calls on tough lads now and again. Business with Drace may be risky but it can pay off. He understands the importance of a good blade, and pays well for it.
