Re: Town Hall (OOC Thread)

Killing your food before you eat it is always a good thing. Unless your a ork! then I imagine that live food would be the best thing.

I'm finishing up my character and he shall be posted for all to check out sometime later today I hope.

Re: Town Hall (OOC Thread)

Hello guys/gals :)

Well I have had a request for a race from Savage Species and wanted to open it up to you guys, incase any of you had the same thing in mind.
I am still kind of tossing the idea around, but am thinking that an ECL 1 or something from the Appendix 1 would be fine. Does anyone have any objections?

I would like to see some awesome backgrounds if there were to be any monster races, and I would think they should expect a hard time in more civilized areas.

Also we should be able to start rolling here in the next few days, we will see how the pc's come in, and go for the first of the week.

How do you guys fell about starting? Do you wish to roleplay all the intros? Or go with the assumtion that you all know each other(some what) and came together to go adventuring?

Re: Town Hall (OOC Thread)

I'm up to anything so long as it is roled played well. I should have my final character and a short bio for him done today. Been busy and all.

For now I'll tell you all I'm playing a Ranger Dwarf, I know different for sure, who's name is Gunter IronFoot. His alingment I am thinking shall be Ch. Good. All his stats will be up and I'll be ready to play soon after that, depending when the rest are ready.

Re: Town Hall (OOC Thread)

Well I am excited to get the show on the road, there is lots of adventure to be had!! I see this game as an extension of a great table top, we will try to keep that table top feel to the game, using maps and pictures that many of us can find in the books as well as the occasional banter toward your fellow players and DM. I also have set up the "Talk of the Town" thread so you guys can keep up on current events in the area as well as pick up the occasional adventure hook, keep an eye on that thread it will be updated.
There will be lots of room for role playing as well as combat so should be some action for everyone. I am an open DM and like to give the players Freewill to chose their course of action, however with that freedom I do ask that the party does what it can to stay TOGETHER. Splitting the party is just too much work for the DM and ends up with character death!

So with that said    GAME ON!!!

Go to Game Info at the top of the screen, then to Cast and a name shows up on the list, "No Name Yeti."

Gee, did I scare everybody away? Okay, I'll take the picture down.

Maybe, maybe not, you guys decide. There are a lot of people there so maybe you guys just congregated together. Role it out if you want.

In fact I have the same questions of yous “what are you doing near Sundabar?” did you come for supplies, food, women, adventure¿¿…you tell me. :)

Re: Town Hall (OOC Thread)

Its hard to figure this kind of stuff out in this type of experience. When I ususally make my characters I know who else im going to be grouped with so you can kind of make you characters to fit each other.

A druid has no reason whatsoever to go into a city. Unless perhaps Im going with my friends for something specific.

Milo is from the High Forest raised by Druids, he is kind of afraid of city humans because he always heres  from the animals and trees how they like to kill. Unless they can show they arnt like that he doesnt see the difference between them and a orc.

So I will need somekind of freindship with at least one of the group so that I learn to trust humans a bit more.

So thats my thoughts on the topic.

Re: Town Hall (OOC Thread)

Okay, the following is just some random, possible thoughts that might have happened. I am in no way saying that this is what happened or trying to dictate the game, just offering suggestions for a background history.
Please say Yay, Nay or contribute differnet ideas and possibilities.

Well High Forest itself seems to have enough different activities between the different political faction within, it would not be to unusual for Milo to be on some mission sent by a higher Druid.
There could also be a quest to track down your family name and perhaps find lost relatives.
Hellgate Keep also leaves several interesting ideas for exploration and research.

I would venture that Vespian in her attempts to study the ruins of Hellgate Keep could have met Milo, who was selected to patrol those same ruins to keep nosy adventurers like her out and a few encounters escaping and battling Orcs togeather might have led them to be friends.

And with all that Drow and Elf Tiefling activity, there are a lot of reasons for a Dwarf like Gunter to be stomping through the forest on a mission of revenge against the diabolical &&stards that slayed his father, brothers, nephew etcc.  And once again, meeting up and having to fight togeather against mutual enemies may have given him a reason to stick with the group.

Re: Town Hall (OOC Thread)

Yeah those are good ideas!

Let say we met each other in the Forest in one of the scenarios you suggested. I gave ya a some goodberries for your gut rot. (those dwarfspirts can tear you a new gi tract) You thought Ide be a good compainion for the healing at least and we ended up in Sundabar after tangleing with some gnolls or orcs or whatever.

The dwarf could have been ambushed by some orcs on his way to the same location. We haveing come upon him helped him finish off the orcs and gave him some healing.

And there we could be at the gates waiting to get in.

Or not.

What do you think?

Re: Town Hall (OOC Thread)

ok

The nasty orc "Knarl" stepps in the ring

-------------------------------------------------------

As Knarl circles his opponent he looks  for a weakness in the beast defenses. Thinking he sees an opening Knarl comes forth with a mighty swing of demons. Unleashing his fist of fury Knarl shatters the skull of the would be goblin oppressor.
"Knarl crush you. Raaarrrah"
The Orc screams in victory.

Spot: 15
Attack: 20 ohh does he hit crit?  19 yes!
Damage: 8 already multiplied.

-------------------------------------------------------

or something like that.

fell free to add some flavor if you think it taste dull!
