Sorry to bother you again with this subject. I know it's not a problem, but it's something that is intriguing me and I really would like to understand why this is happening in two games I'm GMing.


In one game:

The Cast list is correct, divide in players and NPCs.

Character Details: the first NPCs I created are listed under Characters, only the last NPC is under NPCs.

GM Menu - Character Tags: NPCs as NPCs, players as players. Edit Characters: everything in order.

Groups: only the last NPC is listed under NPCs, the others are listed under Players.


In the other game:

I noticed that because these two games have the same story, only one is in English, the other is in Portuguese.

It's very odd. And I can't understand why this is happening... Anyone has any ideas?...

It seems like the Details match the Groups. Perhaps by changing the Groups you can change the Details?

I shall research this in my own games, but that's my initial impression. Keep in mind that I am tired and in the middle of moving, so if I'm spouting nonsense right now then that's why. I will still look into it, though it may be a day or two before I can get back to you.

I changed everyone and every topic to group 1. And it didn't help...

Did you capitalize the tags NPC, or was it entered as npc?  If I remember almost anything will go under player.  except "Hidden" and "NPC". I tried making a npc list in one of my currently unused games. "NPC" was placed as NPC, "npc" was created as player.
"NPC-ert" was created as NPC

You know what, I think I found out a solution, in an almost "stupid" way.

In one of the games, one player asked to play with one NPC character, so I "passed" the character. When I updated the Tags, with this character going from NPC to player, it fixed everything.

I tried to update the Tags in the other game and it was fixed too.

I still don't know what happened to have this previous "arrangement", but now I know that if I go to Edit Characters Tags and then click in Update Tags, even if I don't change anything, it fixes the oddity.


Edit: When I created the NPCs, I just add their names from Edit Characters and as they were linked to me (GM), they automatic had NPC as tag.
