Mac, it's gonna take a while, my game has been experiencing this for months now, and it's not been fixed. In order to be able to talk in PM we had to make a alternate reality game so my players could still talk and I could get applications into my game. So while I know your frustration, it's only going to get fixed when Jase can get around to it. Until then you're stuck.

Another possible workaround in the meantime, if you're the GM or the GM is willing, is to assign individual members to their own groups, then create a thread for Private Messages there. You can do the same thing for groups of two, and even three depending on how large the game is.

So it would look like...

Group 1: Everyone
Group 2: Randall
Group 3: Jessee
Group 4: Kevin
Group 5: DEATH, DESTROYER OF WORLDS
Group 6: Randall & Jessee
Group 7: Randall & Kevin
etc. etc. etc.

It's a bit of work, but it can help. ^_^ (and if the game is in need of players, you can always make a Group 0 post about RMailing you directly in the meantime).

Problem with that tyr is if it's a large enough game like mine is those private groups get eaten up fast and hot enough of them for everyone.

Sure, but it takes about... 7 people, give or take (depending on whether or not you start doing groups of three), before you start running dry. And that's assuming everyone actually needs a PM thread with every other player. But every workaround has problems.

You can use the honor system. Or you can use the groups. Or you can build another game. Or you can use an outside communication source. Or... you get the picture.

In the end though, it's just one possible solution. If it doesn't work for your particular game/players/you, don't use it. ;)
