Post author character tag/bio doesn't update?

I've been setting up my game slowly for a week or two now, and I've run into something strange.  It seems that whenever a character posts to a thread, the character tag and character biographies remain static, meaning if they are edited or updated, they remain the same on that post.  Is there a way to retroactively update the author information?

Thanks!

Old posts will keep the same poster information and portrait as they did when said post was first made. It makes it rather useful for my shapechanging charcter whose portrait keeps changing every few RL weeks or so :D. I'm not aware of there being any way to make poster information update after the post has been made.

In reply to Ameena (msg # 2):

Go back to the post (possibly have to be GM) and change the post to another character you control (see why GM?) and then change it back

Post author character tag/bio doesn't update?

In reply to TaniLai (msg # 1):

As others have said, this is a deliberate feature, which is working as intended.  Old posts are not updated with new information, but retain the information that was current when they were posted.  That way if a character is removed from a game for whatever reason, all their post information, portraits, etc, don't vanish with them.

Also means people can track their HP, etc. publicly in their bio. I have seen several DM's require it.
