A new bumping option
What would be the likelyhood of a bump down feature for threads? Instead of having to bump up a bunch of threads to get one to the bottom, how about an option to just bump it down?

Like re-ordering your Notices in a game, you mean? Yes I've thought that could perhaps be made easier at some point.

Are the threads not ordered by when they were last "touched", when their internal timestamp was last updated? So "bumping down" isn't possible if that's the case

But I'm just guessing and assuming, I'd love to know how this works actually

A new bumping option
In reply to RosstoFalstaff (msg # 3):

Yeah. When a thread get a new post, it's bumped to the top (but under the stickied threads). In a game I'm running, players go off in different groups, thus me creating separate threads for the adventures. When they are done, I move the thread to Group Z so they no longer see it, but I keep the post count (I give XP bonus per 1K posts).

I was just wondering if there was an option, or if there could be an option) of a bump down option, so instead of waiting for the thread to naturally move down the order, I could just go ahead and knock it down instead of bumping everything else up over it.

I don't think there is an option to do that, but I have the same situation. I close threads once they're done, but that thread sits among the still-running ones until it naturally slides down. I've also had running threads get sandwiched between closed ones, so I don't notice that the thread hasn't had a post in a few days.

Check out this thread in RPoL Development.  A bit long winded but lots of options were discussed there, not that I think a final consensus was ever reached.
