Summon Undead (SU)

Summon Undead (Sp):
Once per day, a 5th-level thrall of Orcus can summon 1d4 ghouls, 1d3 shadows, 1 wight, or 1 wraith as the summon monster spell cast by a caster of her class level. At 9th level, the thrall can summon 1d3 mummies, 1 spectre, 1 mohrg, 1 vampire, or 1 ghost instead. If she chooses a vampire or a ghost, its ECL (not counting the vampire or ghost template's LA) is one less than the thrall's class level.

Calling subtype spells

*An alteration to the written rules for spells with the ‘Calling’ subtype is being made.

To the general rules for spells of this type is being added the stipulation that the creature called cannot use any innate summoning abilities it may have, and it refuses to cast spells that would cost it XP, or to use any spell-like abilities that would cost XP if they were spells.

This is the standard restriction added to summoning spells. Due to the type of creatures available for calling by the Gate spell, it was decided to extend this restriction to apply to Calling spells as well.

Epic Characters

* A character is epic when his HD is 21 or higher this determines when the character can start taking level dependent epic feats. Once a character has
21 levels in any given class they may start taking class dependent epic feats.

*Also, on the subject of when you start using the Epic Attack and Epic Save Bonuses in place of the normal progression for your class. Until you reach 20 HD, you continue to use your class progression. After 20 HD you use the Epic Attack and Save progression.

*The epic templates of ‘Paragon’ and ‘Psuedonatural’ are banned
