Valerius Thormorath
The first thing that grabs anyone's attention when looking at Valerius are his intense, unnaturally blue eyes. As far as he knows all his ancestors had them, all the way back to his draconic forebear. The eyes are in stark contrast to his straight, unbound, black hair falling down to his shoulders and his pale skin. An angry red scar runs along his left cheekbone, marring his otherwise unblemished, aristocratic features. He prefers to keep his cheeks clean shaven and gets annoyed when he doesnt have the chance to shave for longer intervals. A slender golden chain is fastened around his neck with an ornate golden key hanging from it.
The tall youth looks to be around twenty years of age and long training in the yard has ensured that he is quite fit. He clearly does not have the lithe grace that a duelist might call his own, but makes more than up for it in strength. When at rest, he often sits straight backed in his chair or stands at ease, giving a rather rigid and formal impression. His stocky frame is covered in dark clothing that would not have looked out of place at a nobles court - before it had obviously been subjected to a long journey that cant have had many an inn or city along the way. The hems are beginning to fray, the cloth is dusty and a tear in one of the pant legs has been very ineptly fixed. A vest hides most of a studded leather armor, though it doesnt look as if it is meant to be entirely concealed.
A slender scimitar in a dark-brown, wooden sheath rides on the young mans left hip and a dagger on the right. While the hilt of the scimitar looks just shy of being ostentatious, the daggers crossguard and pommel look plain on first glance. Only a closer look shows an embossing on the pommel. Valerius can often be seen rubbing over it with his thumb, as if making sure that its still there.
The sturdy backpack on the mans back manages to look out of place next to the formerly fine clothes, even though its just as travel stained.
