Small things working in large numbers can achieve frighteningly grand-scale results. Deva Ex has access to nanites -- tiny robots that can build things up and break them down. Mostly, she uses these constructs to break things down. A Nanite Eve is a swarm of silvery nanites that are bound around a central controlling neurochip that have the capacity to break down matter and construct new chips and nanites -- usually out of any metal in an area and any organic matter they can strip down. Death by Nanite Eve is unpleasant -- they can break someone down molecule by molecule, incapacitating them in seconds, but it usually takes them a while to actually get around to killing their victims as they break them down to build new Nanite Eves. This is because Nanite Eves are sadistic as fuck, not because they can't kill quicker. Oh no. Like certain spider-hunting wasps, they paralyze people and then eat them alive from the inside-out. And when they're done, they've constructed a new Nanite Eve, and on they go. Deva Ex's typical MO is to smuggle a control unit in the shape of a fire extinguisher into a place, then wait for an opportune time to release the Nanite Eve on the population she wants to take over. She knows the kill codes that can make the nanites turn on themselves, and often culls their numbers...because even she is afraid of a Nanite Grey Goo scenario, when the Nanites escape her control and eat forever...
