Tsuchigumo Akiko (not her real name), who also goes by Kumo no Aki, does not have spider powers. Tuschigumo is a derogatory term for bandits who would not bend the knee to the emperor. Aki sees herself as such a renegade, even more so because she can literally hide in the ground with her street-bending powers (Tsuchigumo literally means "dirt-dwelling spider").
