Norgwynn Strongshell

A bit taller than most canyon dwarves, standing a whopping 4'4", 226 lbs., with a medium build.  He seems fairly typical of his race, aside from his hair and beard, which are fiery red in color, and his surprisingly fair complexion. Norgwynn's deep set black eyes reveal little, and the casual observer would be hard pressed to determine with any accuracy whether his stony countenance was set in an expression of joy or boredom.  Rage, on the other hand, is pretty unmistakable, and not pleasant to behold.

Norgwynn may usually be found encased in a full suit of masterwork plate mail. The steel from which it is wrought seems to glow from within with an electric blue sheen, and is enhanced with silver joints, reinforcements, and decorative embellishments.  The breastplate, for example, is adorned with the holy symbol of Narok in fine bas-relief.  The torso and leggings feature curious protrusions which, as it turns out, are handles. This is because the armor is designed to serve as a makeshift battering ram.  When wielded by his allies, the wearer of the armor locks the helmet into position to protect his neck from injury and the blunted tip of the crown is hurled against the obstacle in question.

As befits a paladin of Narok, Norgwynn wears a full white hooded cloak over his armor.  It is adorned in embroidery with the holy symbol of Narok, featured on a shield that is being supported by a heraldic lion on one side and a boar on the other.  The cloak has a simple clasp at the neck and is, in most cases, removed before combat.

It would come as a surprise to all but his closest companions (and other dwarves) that Norgwynn actually possesses a complex personality.  Those who have earned his respect and confidence should recognize, though, that beneath the stony exterior he is gentle, caring, surprisingly open-minded, and loyal to the death.  He is, however, a bit slow on the uptake, and has learned to hold his opinions in reserve and act only when he has thought things through (however long that might take).

Norgwynn's birthday is November 30.
