In real life (aka RL, that evil thing that steals us away), I live in California and am old enough to be out of college.  At ASWoT, I am a man-owl.

I joined ASWOT on Tuesday, 10 May 2005 at 10:52.  When I first arrived, it was in a flurry of posting that blew violently on a game that had slowed considerably since its creation by despyzer.  I'm told that I was a major pain, but also a shot in the arm for the game.  All I know is, once I was in, I was hooked.

As for what I at least thought of you, Yoss, I was a little stunned.  There was a certain amount of worry that you wouldn't slow down enough that I could keep up with what was going on here. Actually, the way you settled in and became one of our best contributors significantly increased my patience with the wilder newbies.

Yoss:

I remember you (I think) chastising me about my antics in the Assylum.  Now that I know your affinity for the roleplays and now that I don't have as much time available to post, I understand your frustration with having to read ten pages of posts that all happened since you last posted only a few hours before.

Germ Ant:

Indeed. I was also attempting to chastise you for bringing all those dead threads back too, but that didn't work so well. You liked the title I bestowed on you in the process too much. For that matter, it's grown on me, too.

As part of my original roleplaying, I had a padded room in the asylum with a portal to an alien landscape and a ring which returned me to my room whenever I needed.  However, my room, along with the entire asylum, was destroyed by Raz's explosives that FourLegged wired up to a big red button that I pressed.  Raz was also my General to help guard my throne while I was away.  Man, that was a long time ago.

From there, I went on to take over duties upkeeping the Hall of Fame that (I think) Doulos started back when he was still a GM.  If I'm not mistaken, I created the title of Keeper of the Hall and was the original holder of the title.

Next step for me was ascension to GM status since I was much more active than the other gamemasters and they apparently thought I was worthy of the title.  I don't know if they were right or not, but ASWoT has never been the same.  The current state of the game, with a nicely ordered Hall of Fame, a Suggestions thread as Notice, and several other small changes (I'd call them improvements, but others might not agree), is due in large part to my efforts and the many suggestions given by the ASWoT community.

Somewhere along the line, I developed my Portable™ line of products, including the famous Portable Portal and Portable Passage, which are some of the more coveted items at the Flea Market along with Kagura's hammers and Germ's closets and classes.

On a very sad day, September fourth two thousand six to be exact, the RPOL moderators deemed it necessary to straighten out what was percieved to be, in my words, "the ASWoT problem."  I'll not burden my readers with the details, but the results were some new rules in the Hall of Fame and my promotion to primary GM by jase, since despyzer had been essentially gone for years.  In the end, everything has turned out well and we again exist peacefully with our hosts, but if you're ever wondering about how we got where we are, well, this is an important part of the story.

As time went on, real life pulled me away more often, so I did not post as much as I used to and I had to bring several deserving players up to GM status to help out.  I think you'll agree that they do a great job and ASWoT could not function fully without them.

On October 26, 2009, I finally stepped down as head GM for ASWOT, passing the mantle on to FourLegged.  I am unlikely to be seen much around here any more.
