Aurelius claims to be a regular human, and a local at that. Of course, while that is technically true it is also clearly deceptive. He has the olive skin of a native Greek though he claims to come from Alexandria in Egypt. He towers over regular men, with broad shoulders and massive muscles. His clear eyes don't seem to miss much and if the universe were fair, his physicality would be counterbalanced by stupidity, clumsiness, and a face like a wounded cow.

He is, however, quite the opposite. When caught lounging in the golden rays of the Sun, Aurelius has been positively compared to the exquisite sculpture Phidias's classic 'Golden Ra.' When commented upon, Aurelius would wipe the sweat from his bald head and give a knowing smile.

He sports a golden helmet that matches the obsidian and elephantine hide armor of his. While not afraid to use a steel shield or weapons, he foregoes the metal armor due to his first passion - sorcery.

When not twisting magic to his will, Aurelius sometimes utilizes a sling or one of two steel one handed swords.

His preferred nicknames are "Aurelius the Golden" or "Aurelius the Charioteer"
