Hakkof

Name: Hakkof
Species: Barrakian (Korshare)
Nationality: Barrakian
Occupation: Barrakian Stereotype?
Gender: Male
Age: 24

Desc:  Right, the most important detail for any Barrakian outfit first.  Fur trimmed combat boots.  Welcome to the space age future of barbarian clothing.  Hakkof is an "only slightly" (so he says) short Korshare with a craggy face, usually grim expression, blue eyes and buzz cut for the man who doesn't have time for advance hair care between violence.
He usually wears a mix of the usual Barrakian 'Barbarians! In! Spaaace!' style and more standardized Galactic mercenary apparel.  The previously mentioned boots along with faded brown pants, and of course a gunbelt with additional pockets and pouches for the Liefeld quota.  A slate grey long sleeved shirt and black gloves are worn in the traditional manner, with a Barrakian style fur trim hide vest worn over it all.  Opaque gold tinted ballistic goggles (Do they even call them that when lasers are more common?) obscure the previously mentioned eyes.

Personality: You know the whole thing where someone bottles up all their rage until they are a ticking timebomb?  Well, Hakkof seems to be the opposite extreme.  Constant flipping out over the numerous slights against his stature during his childhood has worn down his stereotypical 'SMASH FOR HONOR' Barrakian stylings to just being sort of jaded.  He isn't entirely above committing violence over words, but he prefers sticking to when it is convenient to do so.  Hakkof prefers bored professionalism, but the typical Barrakian hot bloodedness is still there, waiting for a 'good reason' to be let loose.

Background:  Hakkof was a very cranky little Barrakian child.  Simply put, Hakkof has always been on the short side for a Korshare.  Not helping matters was the fact that this was an easy target for verbal jabs, causing them to flip the *censored* out, on top of the fact that Barrakian's resorting to violence wasn't exactly uncommon at any age so the spectacle just repeated itself.  Who's five years old today 'little' guy? Flip out! Ten years old, bet you won't be half that many *insert measuring unit here*, FLIP OUT!
By the time he became a teenager though, one of the great joys (such as it is) of that age range that can fit stereotypes came to his aid.  Apathy.  Yes, Hakkof had given a crap so hard for so long about his height, that it burnt out his more volatile emotions as a whole.
More years passed, and like many Barrakians Hakkof had taken to being a tough guy for hire across the galaxy.  Funny enough, if not for the height thing there really wouldn't be any difference between him and any generic Korshare you may run across.

Insert lead in to plot insertion here.

Abilities:
Professional Wrestler Agility:  Oh look, those Barrakians sure are huge and slow (So, wait, even the Fou Barrakians with winged flight lack coordination typically? That sounds like an accident waiting to happen).  Oh look, the Short Korshare isn't quite so slow.  My God! he's going for the top rope!  It's the elbow drop!
Also handy (Hah!) for challenging fellow Barrakians he doesn't like to Five Finger Fillet.

Why Yes, I Do Speak Space French:  You wander around doing enough odd jobs for enough races, you'll pick up on a lot of languages.  Hakkof doesn't know any 'super secret, only this species knows it for some reason' languages, but if it is something used with any regularity Hakkof knows more than enough to get by.
Is this even an 'ability' when smuggling pilots for hire are easily known to speak Green bug eyed dude, hairy bigfoot, and mobster slug? And you only ever see one of each the whole time?

Weaknesses:
Face Of A Thug: While his height has been the at times source of question for his toughness, Hakkof is not lacking when it comes to a face that screams 'ooh! Pick me! Pick me!' in a police lineup.  And that's when he's smiling.
Hakkof is no Doctor Hacksaw though, nobody has wet themselves over seeing him (that he knows of).

Weapons:
Generic Barrakian Pistol: Hakkof forgets who this belonged to in the first place, but floors during bar brawls can be like finding change in the cushions of your couch.

Barrakian Knife: Also known as a 'Cultural Artifact' to those unsuccessfully trying to get through tight customs with one.

Nice Gloves: For added personal comfort when smashing your knuckles into someone's cranium, and to help keep another being's blood, tears, misc off your hands in the process.

Nice Boots: Same concept as the gloves, what good is footwear that will wear out before a good amount of miles, hazardous chemicals, or fallen bodies have been crossed?

Disclaimer: The Player is well aware this is a lower 'ratings' game.  This didn't stop badguys in G.I Joe from having chainsaws and flamethrowers.  If only to make them feel better for owning them.

Equipment:
Versatile Wardrobe: Don't you just hate it when you get a job, and then they tell you that you need to provide your own matching Dress Code clothes? Boy did those last guys feel silly when Hakkof showed up in the demanded stereotypical secret service outfit.  If he doesn't own it or have it on hand, he'll get a hold of it... Somehow.
Yes, we're having 'Knock someone out for their uniform, uniform fits perfectly' as an potential equipment perk.
Think about the serious outfit.  Now, BAM! Hakkof dressed as a clown with rainbow wig.

Goggles Do A Little: Hakkof feels like a trying too hard dork sometimes when wearing these.  However, eye protection is important in many professions.  No fancy electronics or scanners, just Sci-Fi Battle Grade goggles to protect from sudden retina melting lights, chemicals, and other such eyeball hazzards.

Flashbangs, Tear gas, Mace: On the other hand, it's so much fun to inflict the previously mentioned problems on other people.  Plus you can just claim you were merely trying to use 'nonlethal force' if anyone complains... And hope they forget your blaster has a stun setting (Do those ever work except on PCs/Main characters?).

Rebreather: Hmm, seems popular with Barrakian PCs these days.  Can also hold a short duration air supply for if one suddenly finds themselves having to quickly travel between sections of ship that are missing atmosphere completely.  Can hook up to proper air supplies if needed for that sort of thing long term.

Medkit: Also popular with Barrakian PCs.  However in the case of Hakkof, this is kept on hand for other people.  If someone you are guarding gets shot and lives, that's still better odds of getting paid than if they get shot and die because nobody is on hand to seal that gaping neck wound.
