Tanya Redgrave was born on a NATO military base in Germany.  Her mother was German mother and father American. Her father served as an Engineers and she spent her childhood learning about military life and combat engineering from her father. Once she was old enough, she joined the military and followed in her father's footsteps, joining the Engineering corps. She served for two terms before transferring to Armor because she loved vehicles. After a time in the Armor corps she transferred back to the Engineers and on into the Rangers, where she served in a number of conflicts during the war.  Tanya has green eyes and blonde hair with the beginnings of grey/silver strands of hair starting to appear more frequently than a woman would care for.  She stands 5'6" and weighs about 145 lbs or so whcih gives her a fairly solid build.  With the war and all, Tanya has grown a lot and looks almost all of her forty-one years of age but, she has the drive of a person half of her age.  She's been in the sevice now for over twenty years.
