As part of the hired crew of The Far Shores, K'bai is an A'niss in the very early stages of evolution, looking much more like humans than modern day Tau A'niss. He is a being that you might have seen pictures of in dusty old history books. Which is a testament to his age, as books have been obsolete for many eons. The badge on his uniform states, "Crew Member 7 of Repair and Recovery Team 3, THE FAR SHORES" and he was scheduled to awaken once the ship attained orbit... or in the event of a critical system failure. Other than that, he has no recollection of anything prior to waking up from the crew stasis chamber.

K'bai is pronounced "KEE-bay."
