Hank had been working with PMC's up to and through the start of the war.  Once a lot of civilization had dissolved, he kept on working with large and small groups, whoever had the money to pay for services rendered.  He had been useful in teaching those who needed instruction/training, going over well with under trained civilians.

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois.  Hired and worked for Devil Dog Contractors.  DDC was a company of Marines (Mostly owned & operated by Marines) who were once in and wanted to fight under different circumstances, making real money that the USMC (or other branches), did not pay for hazardous duty.
