Candace is the grand Dame and eldest surviving member of the Delacroix family.   He husband founded the family business after world War two and quickly became incredibly wealthy. As a widow she has significant holdings in Delacroix Enterprises, but doesn't take an active role in running the company. Her grandson Sebastian has been waiting for her to die for years so he could inherit her shares and take over the business,  but she's been hanging on a long time.  She is a woman in her late eighties, confined to a wheelchair, with a frail body, but bright blue eyes that show she retains much of her whip-sharp intellect.  Her hair is gray and well cared for, and she typically dresses well, despite her decrepit frame.
