Name: Vaughn Matthews

Physical Description: Vaughn stands at about 5'10" with a lean swimmers build he keeps in shape by cycling and aerobic exercises, while his dark blond hair seems always on the verge of needing a haircut and is slightly unkempt. Vaughn doesn't sport any tattoos or piercings, and living in the Northwest has lightened his normally tanned skin.

He likes to be clean-shaven and has a strong jawline.  His eyes are a dark hazel and there is often a cheerful spark there.

Personality: Vaughn is focused and intense when it comes to his responsibilities as a Watcher. Since a young age, he understood duty and hard work,and that helped him when he was chosen as a potential Watcher.  When he is not dealing with magical workings or maintaining weaponry, he is friendly, open and while not an extrovert, enjoys meeting new people.

When it comes to Cassi, Vaughn is extremely protective of her. The hardest thing for a Watcher to overcome is that feeling that they have to stand between the Slayer and the world when it comes to danger. He learned and accepted early on that Cassi would always be on the front lines facing evil, and the best place he could be is at her side, giving her the love and support she needs to ge the job done.

Background: Vaughn comes from a loving family in San Diego, California, both parents also member of the world of the Watcher's council.  His father, Mark, is an operations manager for the North American Watcher's council.  It is from his mother, Gayle, that he receives his talent for magick.  Vaughn has shown a great aptitude for working magick, and when he was twelve, he as admitted to the Regional School for Gifted Children outside of Eureka, California.

It was there he first met the other potential watchers and slayers his age.  It was a great relief to finally others like himself who has knowledge of the truth of the world.  And to finally meet the slayers of whom he heard so much of. This was also when he met Cassi Silvestri.

After their bonding and their move to Portland, Oregon, their love for each other only deepened as they faced dire threats, monsters, and wars between creatures. While he doesn't know wat the future will hold for them, he does know it will be together.
