Nathaniel Deeds stands nearly six feet tall & is scarecrow thin. He always dresses in black, & unless traveling overland he is never without his Priest's Frock. His dark brown hair is well groomed & falls to his narrow shoulders. He maintains a carefully manicured goatee which compliments his noble features. His demeanor is of a serious nature. His most striking feature though is his dark brown, nearly black, eyes. With these, folk say, he can read a man's soul. He speaks seldom but does so to pray, give advice, or answer questions. Deeds will often speak in Latin, usually to make a point or gain someone's attention.

A man of the people, Deeds can be found preaching to those who will listen. He is also known to treat the injuries of those who can not afford a doctor. He is rarely seen armed. Some say it is because he is a man of God... others because Wichita'S gun ordinance does not allow it. However some have claimed that Deeds carries a holdout weapon upon his person & maybe others...

After an encounter with Marshal Meagher--that might have gone bad if not for Deeds' exceptional ability to sense a strong moral character (seeing such in the Irishman)--Deeds found himself working on an ad-hoc basis for the lawman in addition to his regular ministering. The Marshal asks Deeds for help from time to time, sizing up fellers he brings to the jail or accompanying him on a posse, or some such.
