Physical Description:
By all accounts, Eikitsu is fairly average in stature for a shinobi boy his age. He stands at 158 cm (5'2") and weighs a modest 46 kg (101 lb). He has ash blond hair that he wears shaggy with long bangs, cobalt yellow eyes and a slender, heart-shaped face just beginning its journey into maturity. Similar to most shinobi, he also possesses a lean and athletic build akin to a sprinter or gymnast. Eikitsu's most striking physical trait is his pallid complexion which borders on albinism. If not for a sickening number of scars on his forearms, and even several bite marks on his torso, his snow white skin would be free of blemishes. Depending on one's perspective, the intricate black tattoos adorning both of his forearms could also be seen as blemishes. The strangeness doesn't end there however, as more astute shinobi might further notice that his pasty skin is always cool to the touch and that his presence in the world is ever so slightly less than normal. Both of these traits are due to his synthetic body being more efficient than an ordinary human body. Because of this, his biological processes require less energy and thus generate less heat and noise than normal. He even requires less oxygen resulting in a lower respiratory rate.
When it comes to attire, he keeps things fairly simple and opts for a long-sleeved black shinobi shōzoku with a form-fitting medium gray shooter shirt worn underneath his jacket and black shinobi shoes. Wrapped around his waist is a medium gray obi that drapes down the outside of his right leg stopping just above his kneecap. Finally, Eikitsu's hitai-ate can be found on his forehead.
Personality:
Eikitsu is a supremely analytical individual possessed of genius intellect and an eidetic memory. He is exceedingly formal, friendly and polite at all times and always avoids unnecessary conflict, which he views as wasteful. Ultimately, it's all just a well-practiced facade that he engages in to minimize unnecessary conflicts. Per Daigoro's design, Eikitsu is utterly devoid of emotions in truth. Truly, he is as cold and unfeeling as granite rock. His only loyalty is to the Tsuchikage, whom he serves unquestioningly. Because of the rehearsed nature of Eikitsu's entire persona, he's often perceived as aloof despite his attempts to appear otherwise. Moreover, his insensitivity and unusual appearance only serve to reinforce such perceptions. For those able to look past Eikitsu's quirks, they'll find a reliable and highly skilled ally who's disciplined, consistent and fearless.
Background:
Eikitsu's story began with a brilliant scientist from the Land of Earth named Oyama Daigoro. Daigoro served his country and daimyō humbly until he disappeared without a trace around the conclusion of the Fourth Shinobi World War. Unknown to anyone, Daigoro was forced to kill his wife and daughter following Kaguya's defeat after they had been turned into White Zetsu by the God Tree. This tragic loss drove Daigoro into exile where he was eventually consumed by misanthropy, with an especially deep hatred for shinobi, whom he blamed for his loss. Fueled by his dark emotions, Daigoro worked tirelessly to create the perfect weapon to exact revenge on not just the shinobi, but the entire world! His work finally produced results three years ago after countless failures; however, it would be six months more until he resurfaced and unleashed his doomsday weapon on the northeastern region of the Land of Earth. Daigoro's weapon laid waste to the region with an epidemic of preternaturally aggressive and resilient diseases that left only death in their wake. As the death toll swelled and the epidemic crept closer to the core villages of the Land of Earth, the Earth Daimyō ordered Rock to investigate which only resulted in more deaths until the Tsuchikage personally led a handful of squads comprised of Rock's most talented shinobi to confront the threat. In the end, Daigoro and his weapon were defeated, but Daigoro eluded capture and disappeared without a trace once more. Instead of destroying Daigoro's doomsday weapon, which was just a blanched feral boy with so little mind that it begged the question of how Daigoro controlled it, the Tsuchikage returned to Rock with the weapon where the village's ANBU erased its scant few traces of a mind. They then implanted false memories that molded him into one of the Tsuchikage's most loyal servants.
Assigned his given name by the Tsuchikage, Eikitsu spent the next two years in Rock where he spent his days at its shinobi academy and his evenings training with his handler, a puppeteer named Makoto Seiji. Nights were his to do with as he saw fit which usually meant burying himself in books on shinobi history and military strategy. At the Academy, Eikitsu was an exceptionally gifted student but rather unpopular among his peers due to the insensitivity the cold logic that defined him created. He was further stigmatized by the fact that his sparring partners always came down with strange illnesses regardless of the outcome. In fact, this pattern of illness garnered him the nicknames Icky and Ickitsu. Now, after graduating the academy in record time, Eikitsu prepares to meet his newly assigned shinobi cell. He remains unaware of his true origin, but how long will the truth stay hidden with Daigoro still at large? More importantly, how will the truth affect Eikitsu?
