This is my lovely daughter Katelin, a very talented little musician and ballerina.  Very smart, and the sweetest most loving and sensitive little girl you'll ever meet.  She will be nine years old in almost two months.  If you ask her she can tell you down to the day when her birthday will be.  Since I've mentioned the other kids' eyes, I should say that Katelin's are green like her mommy's.  She's very proud of that because she thinks my eyes are pretty.


This is my very talented artist with the big blue eyes that just melt your heart.  She is a fabulous little reader (going into first grade this year) and also extremely sweet and loving.  Abigail is a great cuddler as well.  She will turn seven twenty days after her sister turns nine.


This is my gorgeous stinker boy, the best baseball player for his age I've ever seen or heard of in my life.  He can throw faster, straighter, harder, and more accurately than boys I've coached twice his age!  He can hit the ball, almost any pitch you throw at him in his tiny strike zone, with a swing that is reminiscent of Griffey, Jr., himself.  Joshua, too, has gorgeous blue eyes with long, dark eyelashes that means he gets out of trouble far too easily and far too often.


This is me in a nutshell.


This is a lake nearby.  I am an amateur photographer and I actually won a contest with this photo for my use of shadows and reflections.  I'm rather proud of it, it's one of my favorites.  This lake is one of the places I take my cute kids fishing.


This is a creek nearby where the kids and I go swimming and fishing, where we go giggin' and where we get crawdads (though I don't eat them, I'm not much for them myself, same goes for the frog legs).  As a member of our state's Stream Team to protect the water quality of our natural lakes and streams, I check the water here often.  It is so clean that you can drink it if you like.  I love living here.  :)


An Ode to Wind-Walker and Annihilator

There once was a girl of such beauty
She found a guy, such a cutie
They walked on the wind
And enemies they'd rend
For such was a wonderful duty

When all of their foes came near
They had no choice but to appear
It worked out for the best
For they defeated the rest
Now this goddess and mortal they fear

An evil ogre heard of their deed
He thought it would be a great read
If he came out of his hole
Stole his life and her soul
He nodded and went out to feed

He found them later that day
Much to the goddess's dismay
With a single thought and a bite
The mortal was a horrible sight
For in the ogre's mouth he did lay

The goddess cried out in a rage
Her power released from its cage
A burst of her fury
The ogre dead in a hurry
His book ending on this page

With the last of her strength she did good
Brought her mortal back for she could
He was well and alive
But his goddess did not strive
He'd do anything if return she would

His yells she would not hear
The mortal having lost his dear
When all hope was lost
And he could not find a cost
A single drop fell down, his tear

His sadness did wonders for her fall
For his goddess came back to his call
She was alive once more
Power raging throughout her core
And they lived happily after all
