Darren is a perpetual student, working part-time for Holiday Investigations, rather then find a real job and full time career.  He loves all things "weird" and wants nothing more then to work for her the rest of his life.

He's a big guy, 6'1", and a little stocky, but very quick when he needs to be, or when he's terrified.  His scraggly beard and longish hair are in constant need of a trim, and his clothes, though clean, look like they've been scavanged from the Salvation Army reject pile.

Despite that, he's very intelligent and a natural investigator.  He's just very lazy and prone to poor impulse control when it comes to whims and indulgences.
