A cousin to Shizuko Mifune, Yumi Touma has become more of a big sister to the younger college co-ed, though the relationship sometimes drives both women to distraction.
A successful businessperson at a 30, and member of Centropolis's Chinatown's Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Touma is one of the newer, but more active voices in the community.  She's owned "Flowers by Yumi" for several years.

Standing at a somewhat imposing 5'8" tall, Yumi tries to project the calm, unflappable businesswoman that everyone expects her to be.  In truth, she just wanted to enjoy running her own business and bring a little beauty to the world, and sometimes resents the "politics" that her place in Chinatown society sometimes generates, and is occaisionally a bit frazzled by the pressures that go with it.
Her latest headache is when a cousin on her  mother's side asked her to "look after" his daughter, Shizuko, as she attended Centropolis University.   Both women resented the intrusion on their time and/or privacy, but have since developed a somewhat close bond.
