Bulwyf is a young man from the Helvetican people, the Celtic folk of the Alps.
   The Helveticans didn't have great numbers, and managed to dodge the great
Hun and Goth invasions just by being far too inconvenient to conquer, but life
wasn't all spaetzle and beer- for reasons still not entirely clear, the
Helveticans got into a fight with the Elves, and came up the worse for it.
And the deep, high Alps breed all sorts of trolls, and other beasts.
Bulwyf was born in a small Alpine village in 492 AD.

He could have lived an ordinary life, hunting in the forests, maybe raising
some dairy goats and a having a family.  But fame does not come to the people
who do this.

For a few years, Bulwyf was guided by the Priestesses of Arduinna.
They taught him the ways of the natural world, and some of its magic.

Bulwyf is around 6'3" and about 200 lbs. He has a rugged look about him, the kind one gains from living outdoors and in the wilds, away from civilization for the better part of his life. his long hair is somehow kept in a relatively decent manner, his beard trimmed acceptably enough to be allowed in most social circles. For a ranger he is fairly talkative and inquisitive.
