Flare has always been an odd mix of parts.  Volatile yet determined, violent yet caring.  She erupted when she came upon some students in her high school running their own nightmare version of an animal lab.  Her reaction blew up the school.  Always willing to throw herself into fights and fun, she is an extroverted Nova.  She lacks the mental capabilities of some of her genius friends, but does possess very well developed investigative abilities.  From a family of officers, Flare had planned and trained to join the police from her earliest school days.

Flare's most used powers are Fire and Healing.  She possesses control over cold and hyper-movement as well, but they are well overshadowed by her abilities to blow things up and to heal the wounded.

Flare had some moderate issues when she first joined T2M:A.  Unable to accept that she had destroyed a school and killed a half dozen of her classmates, Flare compartmentalized her memory.  This was extremely useful when fighting, as she simply glossed over any loss of life, but led to nightmares, and some still unexplored personality issues.

In the wake of her returned powers, Flare has been introspective.  She is technically a member of Utopia still, but repulsed by all that she has recently learned.  She has yet to make a clear stand on what she wants for her future, and will need to do so soon.
