While it's unclear as to the intentions of the designers--whether they were just nerds who saw too many movies in their day, or if it was a legitimate concern when relating to public image, infiltration, and whatnot--ALICE looks more-or-less like any other human girl just past adulthood.  Usually dressed in some form of whimsical outfit--having not quite yet gained the fashion sense to bother coordinating colors, or realizing that flowing shawls and ties aren't exactly what people customarily wear.  While again, at first glance, she appears much like any other warm-blooded human girl, a careful look at her shoulders would reveal several hard-points grafted in, matched by a set on her spine and hips--apparently to install weapon and armor packages which weren't 'Quite' finished before the money ran out

Also has A.L.I.C.E. engraved on her right forearm, as well as a serial number (AX-000) in the same place on her left forearm--these are customarily hidden by at least one part of her outfit--as are the hardpoints... Usually.
