-Writer 564
Well, I thought it high time to blow the dust off this writer's profile and update it a bit. Yeah I drew on the wisdom of others who have posted their profiles here of course.
I have been in roleplaying games for 25+ years but due to real life constraints on my time, I have had to switch to the online forums for my RP fix. A few really bad things have taken me out of RPOL completely for several months with me only returning rather recently. I will not go into the details so please do not ask.
Now on to the fun stuff!
I love just about any TV or Movie science-fiction and/or fantasy universe, the many comic book universes, and/or video game universe to play in and find that using original universes or the well established ones out there can be equally fulfilling so long as we both have knowledge of the universes in question.
My favorites in no particular order:

Character Ideas:
I tend to play male characters, but have played the odd female character here and there depending on the story being told. I do prefer non-human characters since looking at the world through the eyes of an alien/monster/outsider can make for interesting challenges to writing. Plus I have been a human most of my life and just want to branch out here.

- Star Wars - okay ya got me, Star Wars is my fav! Just about any era, I would prefer to stay away from the main characters and we can go Old republic or the Prequels, clone wars, and/or original trilogy. The Mandalorian is freaking awesome and renewed my love of Star Wars after the... dark times. Sequel movies? What do you mean sequel movies? I don't know of any sequel movies. Nope, no sequel movies here. :P
- Star Trek - Being the on the ship is good and all, but maybe an away mission gone wrong or similiar event, that might make for some good story telling.
- DC universe - or should I say multiverse? So many possible characters to choose from and make our own.
- Marvel universe - Same thing for Marvel as DC. Oh did I mention that crossovers from DC to Marvel and vice-versa are on the table too if you prefer!
- Dungeons and Dragons - the tried and true high fantasy setting I have many, many character ideas.
- World of Warcraft - who hasn't heard of WOW by now?
- Halo - Maybe a story set in the time AFTER the games so we can make up our own plots would work best since playing a Spartan is just freaking cool.
What I like in a Partner:
- Someone who can put up with my slow posting rate is the top priority. Sadly real life requires me to work about 12-14 hours a day 4 days a week. On those work days I may not be able to reply because after my long day, I am often exhausted and just need sleep to prepare to go back again the next day.
- Someone with whom I can collaborate. I will never expect my partner to be the GM here. We can use PMs to discuss what direction we want our stories to go as I have found that helpful to lay out a few plot points and then aim ourselves towards them.
- A partner who can provide some content in their posts to which I can respond and react. I like to get a paragraph or more is always welcomed, that gives things like your character's thoughts and actions, and maybe even you can feel free to move about NPC's to your liking. All of which I can set up my responses and post back when I get the chance.
What I promise to bring to the partnership:
- As compensation for my slow posting rate, I tend to lean on the longer side of posts. I will put out a few paragraphs or more if the inspiration strikes to which you can form your responses.
- I will not ghost. If there is a problem I will PM you when I can. This includes problems with the story or whatever. If something isn't working, we can try to fix it, start a different story or as a last resort, go our separate ways with no hard feelings. Don't be afraid to PM me if there is correction needed either. I am not perfect and if I get something wrong, just let me know so I can edit my posts accordingly!
Some things of note:
- I am not here to write just mindless smut. I has to be relevant to the characters and story. I will not force anything to happen either. So while romance is possible, but it will have to develop naturally between the characters.
- Mindless gore and violence is really not necessary. While certainly violent things will happen, it need not be the detailed 12 parapgraphs of how the monster eats their victim or something.
- Please do not puppet my character unless I give permission for you to do so. I will respect the same boundries for your character as well.
- As another writer had mentioned: VAMPIRES DO NOT SPARKLE!

A lizardman in the DND/fantasy setting finds your character or the other way around in a dire situation. While not normally prone to working with your kind, there is something about this situation they are in that just makes sense here. This character is in a story
- Not all aliens are humanoid but being in Starfleet means you adapt to your new situation, but this new guy/gal/it/whatever here is quite a bit different than even you are used to dealing with. Looking like someone crossed a cephlapod with an insect, your new crewmate here is ever so curious about your society as his species has just recently come out of their relative isolation from the rest of the galaxy.
- Eddie Brock the unfortunate (or fortunate depending on your perspective) soul who bonded with an alien symbiote. He is still relatively getting started with balancing his new homicidal "passenger" and trying to live his life as a reporter when he finds himself saddled with a newly hired partner at the Daily Globe. This partner has their own secrets of course, being a superhero themselves but neither of them know that to start. Will they be at odds when they find out?
- More to come in the future!
