Lacking large empires and having few cities, most of the residents of the pastoral planet of Cebu didn't notice when they were conquered by the Dragon Empire. It wasn't until members of the Royal Exploratory Service entered the village of Mangagoy that Hoba Pumpkinfest became aware of her status as a citizen of a star spanning empire. As one of the small percentage of her folk yearning for a future beyond the bounds of her father's smithy, Hoba took the quickest route that would take her to the stars; the Imperial Legion.
