While not unusually tall, Somus has the broad-shoulders and general build of one used to hard work with heavy objects. Beads of alternating red and copper are braided into the long, dark hair on the left side a few dangling over an equally dark, and neatly trimmed, beard: This, combined with his amber eyes, suggest to the well traveled – or educated – that he hails from the Western Boarderlands.

He is clad in a set of quality, if slightly worn, scale armor that has been scuffed and blackened; and a shield lies across his back covering the large part of his backpack and dark green cloak. Underneath this protective shell, he is dressed in sturdy brown breeches, a green tunic and, always present, is a pendent depicting a red moon surrounded by a gleaming golden circle. From his belt, hang two pouches – one clearly much fuller than the other – and a flail hanging from hook and loop.
