Description: SCPO Lucas Bixby, or "The Chief" as he is more commonly known, is your basic, run-of-the-mill nerd. His genius I.Q. and impossibly high ASVAB scores in high school drew military attention to the unassuming young man and he was promptly "encouraged" to enlist at the young age of sixteen, serving multiple tours of duty during the Global Civil War as the EWO of an ES-12A Stalker Helo. Three days before the crash of the SDF-01, the Chief's helo was shot down by enemy anti-air fire and the Chief's right leg was severely crippled by the impact. He now walks with a horrendous limp and his body is covered in scars, from both the wreckage and combat. After the crash and his rehabilitation, he immediately signed up for the newly formed Robotech Defense Force and became one of the first graduates of the Robotech Electronic Warfare Program and was allowed his choice of postings. He requested, and was immediately accepted, to a posting on the nearly-complete ARMD-07 Ranger. It didn't take long for him to snatch the prize job as Senior EWO for Orbital Carrier Group Two.

While he is a brilliant Electronic Warfare Officer, the Chief lacks the desire to rise above his current station. He is, simply, a man who loves his job and is good at it. The Chief does have one failing, however, and that is his lack of 'social grooming'. He spent so much of his young life studying and experimenting, he had little time or inclination to socialize.

He has, however, taken great strides to cultivate friendships with the VT pilots and crew aboard the Ranger.

Also, much to his chagrin, he was recently "promoted" to Squadron Leader of RAVEN SQUADRON, the designated "Carrier Home Guard" unit. While not a fighter pilot by any stretch of the imagination, his VEF-2X is more than capable of coordinating between Ranger Control and the other Squadrons in the field, making him the only natural choice for the assignment.
