Hvala is a tall and broad man with peaceful, calm eyes. He wears very little clothes for he spends much time in the water and such things would weigh him down. He carries a finely crafted spear, it's strange markings evoking subtle feelings of Jotunheim, and his long hair and beard have bones, sea glass, gull feathers and other odd trinkets tied in it. His face is painted with oily face paint in blues and purples that does not wash off easily while swimming. In fae mean his skin takes on a bluish cast and a rubbery texture. He is nearly hairless, save for his head and face, and sometimes you can catch a glimpse of a small blowhole at the top of his head. His nose flattens out and looks barely there. Wide fins come off of his forearms and ankles.
