Silva

Name: Silva
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Preference: Heterosexual
Class: Chosen Child

Weapon - A plain, sturdy silver sword. It is used mostly for self defense.
Animal Appearance - A young, well trained light brown Pine Marten named Flix.  This is a pet of sorts that always keeps Silva company.  He has also proven himself capable of assisting in combat as a very violent distraction.

Appearance: Silva is keen to wearing shorts, but never skirts, or anything to girlie.  Her taste in loose, comfortable clothes reflects the time she has spent with Iaefrah.  Her hair is a light shade of blue, nearing silver in color. It falls shortly past her chin, and is extremely layered.  One will often find her with small clips in her hair, holding part of her bangs out of her face.  Should one ever catch her awake, her eyes are a deep, piercing golden hue.

Personality: Silva is fairly level-headed and stubborn, but she always has her eyes out for a bit of adventure.  She's never been really girlie, preferring the more laid back, fun, messy lifestyle that guys live.  She is strong of heart, and fairly easy to get along with even though she rarely tries to befriend people, but does not attempt to avoid such things when it happens.  Gydion is one of the only people that she really considers to be a true friend.  Oddly enough, Silva has taken up the habit of falling asleep at random times, in random places, much like Iaefrah.  His love of sleep must have rubbed off on her over the years.

Recently, she has shown a more responsible side as she has realized that, like it or not, she is looked up to as the Luna Messiah and both her actions and inactions will affect countless others.  She prefers to avoid combat, but will not shy away from a conflict, either.  She has also become a protector, and now that she truly knows she can actually do something and make a difference, she is taking a much more proactive approach to helping others.  While she prefers to plan things out ahead of time, she has discovered that conflict more often than not gives you no time, and trusts that her companions will do their part to achieve everyone's goals.

Backstory: Silva doesn't know where she was born, or who her parents are, but she didn't care much for that1.  Iaefrah has taken care of her for as long as she can remember, and that had been more than enough for her.  When she was really young she used to call him Dad, but that habit as dissipated over the years.  She occasionally slips up and calls him dad, but for the most part she refrains from doing so.

When Iaefrah started to teach her how to use a sword she was more than willing to learn.  She adapted to it quickly, even though she didn't like the idea of fighting all too much.  Her opinion on the matter was that it was always good to know how to fight if the need arises, but she wouldn't go looking for a fight.

As the years went on she discovered that she had strange powers - She wasn't sure of exactly what they were, what they were capable of, or how she was even supposed to use them.  Because of this she started to feel a bit uneasy with herself, and started to become weary of being near others too much.  She was worried that she wouldn't be able to control whatever power lied within her, and was worried that she would end up hurting others.  Due to her stubbornness, she decided against talking about her powers with anyone, including Iaefrah.

Even though she tried to avoid becoming friends with people she couldn't help but to befriend young Gydion.  She felt safe with him - felt as though everything would be alright.  He was also without parents, and that made her feel more connected to him in a way.  When he started to learn magic she felt happy for him, and even tried to assist him with his studies.

While spending some time alone one day, she happened to cross paths with a small animal, that she later discovered was a Pine Marten.  It was easy to tell that it had just been born, but for some reason or another it had been abandoned.  Not wanting to leave it there to die, she decided to take it home and care for it.  She named it Flix, and was even able to train it.  She decided that Flix would be her companion from then on.

When Gydion started to talk about leaving Fortis, Silva was a bit torn on what to do.  She wanted to travel with Gydion, but she knew that Iaefrah would never let her.  She was even tempted to sneak away from Iaefrah somehow, but it was then that Iaefrah announced that she was a "Messiah."  Torn and confused, she didn't know what to do.  Part of her, a very small part, was somewhat happy to be considered so important, but the majority of her being repelled the idea of being such an important figure.  She wanted nothing more to escape from the celebrating people; it was too overwhelming for her.  So, she found a quiet place where she could think, and drifted off to sleep while the rest of the wood was still in celebration.

1 - She has not told anyone yet, but she has become more curious about her heritage, since she has been born with strange powers that have made her the Luna Messiah, and she would like to know how and why.

Other: Silva was taught many things about The Luna Opus and Divinus Umbra by Iaefrah.  It didn't take her long to catch onto what it all meant and to fully believe in it herself.  She has come to fully respect the smaller, seemingly less important, things in life.  She takes her time and slows down so that she really pays attention to life, and tries to live it to her fullest.  Believing in the Umbra was one of the reasons as to why she was so willing to raise Flix after finding him.
