Mahmoud is a member of the caravan of survivors trying to reach the Colony.

He carries a golf club for his melee weapon, and does not know how to fire a gun, but was loaned a rifle by Kail in Chapter 2 (now deceased).

At the beginning of the Zombie apocalypse Mahmoud was overweight and unfit. Despite his attempts to avoid being involved in dangerous situations he has had to adapt anyway.

By the time of arriving at Fort Dixie in Chapter 3, Mahmoud has lost weight and his arms are toned and muscular from all of the walkers he's fought.
He still doesn't know how to shoot a gun properly.
