These men are dressed immaculately.  Perfectly tailored suits, a perfect hair cut, everything about them is perfect and not a single thing is out of place.  Other than their inherent creepiness, the one thing that stands out about them the most are the blue rubber gloves they wear on their hands.

They don't need to be strong to kill you, they don't need to be fast, the technology they wield is second to none and most people have never even seen it before.  With one tiny tool, they can end your life from across the room.

If you ever see them, it might be for the best if you ran just as fast as you could.

In the series and movie they are known for their pursuit of River Tam, apparently to return her to the institute she escaped from, as shown in "The Train Job", "Ariel", and the Serenity: Those Left Behind comic. They kill anyone, including Alliance personnel, who had contact with her, using a mysterious hand-held device that causes fatal bleeding to anyone in its proximity, except them.
