Cameron Weirwood

What is known about Cameron Weirwood

Cameron Weirwood stands out from the other soldiers of the line infantry in her distinct additions to the standard uniform.  A tattered half-cape partly conceals what seems a uniform a size too large.  A skirt of ragged woolen material, often thought to be cut from an old blanket wraps her waist over the pine-green colored trousers of her Arcadian uniform.  Her calves are also wrapped in what appears to be the same material, tied at knee and ankle like grieves.  Similarly, her face is masked by a greasy scarf that wraps her neck, mouth and nose.  And, atop her head, instead of the standard Arcadian military cap - pine-green with a band of red - she wears a battered broad-brimmed hat.

If this were not enough to set her apart from the rank and file, she goes out of her way to isolate herself from the others.  Many a new eye to the camp has turned to the lone fire set apart from the others and has wondered at the solitary figure there.  Cameron Weirwood is also known for her uncommunicative nature.  Her responses are almost always terse, bordering on surly.  And the gravel voice that issues from behind her filthy scarf is one that the listener would not recognize as belonging to a woman.

If there is one person in the camp to which Cameron Weirwood defers, it is Captain Myrna Rivers.  Again, if Cameron Weirwood is distinct in her isolation, she is also distinct in this one cordial relationship.  The two have been seen around Weirwood's fire.  There's a rumor about the camp, always punctuated with crude laughter, that the two share a women's love.  Why the captain would fall for the ill-kempt Cameron Weirwood stretches credulity.  But, then again, rumors of this sort often play fast and loose with reason.
