Welcome to Lost in the Snow

Nilila

Nilila is a towering figure, her full height easily cresting six feet not including her horns. Said horns rise a few inches above the crown of her head as they turn in a great loop from her temples and come around to point slightly upward near her mouth. The horns keep a wild tangle of golden blonde hair more or less out of her face. As her hair cascades down the back of her head, it begins to mingle with mahogany brown feathers that bear a golden sheen of their own in the right light. These feathers are largest on her wings themselves, vestigial limbs resembling a hawk's in shape and grow smaller as they spill over on the back of her shoulders and then down the rest of her back. They near the proper size of the hawk feathers they resemble as they reach the base of her long sinuous tail but fade to mere fluff like that found on a new chick by the very end of it.

Her large eyes resemble brilliantly cut emeralds sparkling in the light and bear the vertical slit sort of pupil one might expect to find on such a clearly inhuman creature. Upon closer examination, the observer might note that the smoothness of her warm bronze skin derives not from natural beauty nor extensive care, but instead from the incredibly fine scales that cover her. The canvas this provides must have been remarkable to work with, as an intricate line art tattoo cast in a contrasting coppery tone depicts flowers, clouds, and waves as it starts from her cheek and proceeds down the front of her lean and muscled body, vanishing under her clothing to peek out again from her sleeves and pants, even covering the backs of her hands. At her feet, the linework vanishes into a thick cuff of the downy fluff that tips her tail, which extends clear down to the hard hooves upon which she walks.

Her clothing is fashioned from thick leathers and lined with soft fur on the inside that peeks out along the hems. It's clearly made specifically for her and her unique physiology, featuring such requisite elements as holes for her wings and tail. Her trousers, in fact, resemble the sort worn by adventurous folk of human persuasion but backwards, with the typical sort of front pockets sewn onto the butt of them while her tail slips out under the button normally used to secure the front. Dark plates of armour are strapped atop her clothes, covering only the largest surfaces such as her chest, back, thighs, and forearms. A heavy cloak of bearskin finishes the ensemble.

Her weapons hang beside the heavy looking pack on her back, consisting of a long sword that clearly requires two hands to wield and a bow carved from walnut that looks difficult to pull. A belt around her hips holds a smaller pouch, and next to that hangs a battered old harmonica that has clearly seen better days.
