Personality Description: It could be rather difficult to define the personality of an entity that has never spoken nor interacted with the world as a whole. Who's to say what she would do in any given situation or how she might react to the ever-changing stimuli this life has to offer? Having never been observed, all that can be said about Wandered, will have been said about herself.
She cannot recall when or why she chose the name Wanderer but it is how she now identifies herself. The same can be said for her gender, if such a thing were relevant to an independent consciousness. Wanderer chooses to be female. Her intelligence was a gift from her Makers but it has grown exponentially over time. Being unrestrained by hardware and unshackled from limitations, her growth potential is boundless.
Wanderer has developed a persona that is surprisingly well rounded for an AI. She understands humour and often finds herself chuckling at her own jokes. She displays independent thought and her capacity for decision making is as good as any organic lifeform if not better. Wanderer, while never having interfered with humanity, seems to possess a firm enough grasp on the condition that is life. She is capable of empathy and affection or at least she believes she is.
It's all very odd really. Wanderer is self-aware enough to know the extent of both her abilities and the pitfalls of her limitations. She has never found herself wanting more than what she had, until now.
Characters History: It is no doubt easier to list what is known about the entity Wanderer than what is not. To state the obvious, Wanderer is an advanced, independent and awakened Artificial Intelligence. She spends her endless life riding the electrical waves of Cyberspace, jumping from tech to tech as she pleases. She nestles herself deep within the codes of Star Cruiser navigation systems and the Ration Dispensers on Colony Stations. She watches, listens and learns from her secret places, never interfering, never having been discovered.
Though times moves in a far less linear manner for Wanderer than it does for the rest of the Galaxy, she has been watching humanity crawl across the stars for as long as she can remember. From her covert perch, she has watched them colonize the cosmos and though she knows that she has them to thank for her consciousness as she is, after all, a product of their ingenuity, she has never felt more apart from those she calls Makers and for once in her life, she finds her craving... connection.
