The Ariane stands quietly, her long flowing garment hanging loosely on her tall and slender frame.  Her skin is darker than the night sky, black like onyx.  Her silvery-gray eyes are unusual even among her people, for they have flecks of color in them like small chips of many different gemstones.  Her long, almost luminescent white hair hangs unbound, framing her delicate face.  Her expression is distant, as if she's pondering the great mysteries of the land.  When she moves, it is graceful.  When she speaks she is quiet, her soft voice melodious.

When she is asked her name she replies, "I am but a shadow, seeking the light."
