First and foremost a gentlemen, Jackson is kind and caring despite his appearance. He hates to see others languishing in poverty or oppression, and will go out of his way to extend a hand to those who truly need it, as well as to give them a hard kick to motivate them to go out and improve their own lives and show that they were worthy of his help. He has quite the adventurous spirit being a cowboy.

Jackson will never shirk away from a challenge or a duty placed on him. This can sometimes lead to reckless and rash decisions. However he does not let his pride prevent him from admitting his mistakes. Many lines he has witnessed crossed in his military career and even he has done so. Now he makes those hard lines. Anyone who steps across them are going to find a very angry Jackson. Also incompetence and weakness will not be tolerated in his company.

To those he calls friends which are few and far in between, he is loyal to the death. A usually patient quiet man Jackson's fuse gets awful short when those in his charge are threatened. Speech is often direct and to the point. Much like his civilian life Jackson leads by actions rather then words. Some people call him a boor but when the chips are down he can be found by their side no matter what they may think of him. For him grudges are a waste of time.
