Dwarfing even men who would be called tall, broader than any blacksmith, and older than most soldiers grandparents Marius Grimm is more a collection of exceptions than anything else.  Having served in wars his whole life and kept up his physical fitness in a near obsessive way in between is likely the only explanation for his continued existence.  Many stories have circulated about Marius, ranging from a curse of immortality that will not allow him to die until every friend he has ever made has died to some sort of magic in his sword that extends his life for every man he kills with it.  These rumors however are just that, there is no secret to Marius's success beyond being good at what he does, and living a clean healthy life well beyond that of the normal nobleman.
