Ruslan is a young man from the city of Vlekstaad in the Hold of Stonefist in the far north. He is of middle height and weight, stout of limb and very fit. He has light reddish hair and pale blue eyes giving away his almost pure Suel ancestry.

He clads himself in a suit of worn leather armor passed down to him from his father. He arms himself with a simple spear and shield while a dagger and hand axe are thrust through his belt.

Ruslan is the youngest son of a merchant mariner from the northern city of Vlekstaad. He spent his youth aboard merchant ships that traveled across the White Fanged Bay carrying good back and forth between Vlekstaad and Bastro, sometimes traveling down the Frozen River to the city of Purmill.

Just last year he struck off on his own in search of adventure and glory and most importantly to him, warmer climes. Traveling the rivers ways south he made his way to the Sea of Gearnat where he found many opportunities to put his seafaring experience to work for him. This last year he has worked as a sailor and a caravan guard to support himself eventually working his way across the peninsula to where he stood upon the shore of the Aerdi Sea, wondering what these new shores had in store for him.
