John Benson looks to be in his fifties, with greying hair grown to a length that adds gravitas to his position as a churchman. He wears dark, well made clothes that are, if not fashionable, then functional and smart. His eyes are dark, and he walks with the slightest hint of a limp. His voice is slow and measured, but has a certain degree of command about it, and it seems that, judging by his face, he doesn't smile or laugh very much. Stern and occassionally quite sharp and dismissive, Benson is unchanging and moral as society changes around him.
