Element Zero was a successful Silicon Valley entrepreneur and eccentric world traveller.  He figured out a way to combine a couple of his private companies' devices into a dimension-hopping micro-computer, his 'Dimensional Matrixer', an armband supercomputer which allows him to travel to alternate dimensions.

Element Zero has the unique ability to bring back (temporarily) aspects of these other dimensional realms.

As Element Zero, the dimension hopping hero, he wants to save the world from forces of evil, to fight crime, and to continue traveling the multiverse.

He is a fairly average clean-cut man (brown hair/eyes), but when he returns from a dimension jaunt, he generally looks quite different: besides 1 or more powers, he may have different hair, eyes, clothing, etc.
