Personality: Ryiah is as friendly as they come.  Her optimistic nature is rarely quashed by naysayers and she is always searching for the good in others.  She is very loving and compassionate, and has the nurturing instinct that some lack.  Her promiscuous and flirtatious nature has sometimes gotten her into trouble with jealous women, but her easy manner is usually enough to smooth over any awkward situation.  Though content to follow rather than lead, she can still be counted on for insightful advice when asked her opinion.

Description:  Most would not consider Ryiah a great beauty by any measure.  Though she is slender of frame and build, her breasts are small and pert rather than full and her hips are narrow.  She stands tall for a woman at 5'10", with most of her height in her long legs.  Her facial features are unremarkable except the brilliant sapphire of her eyes.  Lines about her eyes and mouth are obvious indicators of the mirth that always lies just beneath the surface.  The corners of her mouth are slightly upturned, giving her a perpetual smirk.  She keeps her raven hair short, letting it grow no longer than her shoulders.

Brief History:  Ryiah was born a weyrbrat in Benden Weyr to Brown rider T'lan and Namida, a weyr cook.  When she was twelve turns, she was chosen as a Candidate with seven other girls all hoping to Impress a gold dragon.  Though Ryiah was not chosen by the gold, she found herself set upon by a large green and Impressed the dragon Lyrath.  When she was sixteen, she was allowed to join Benden Wing and fly thread for the first time.  For the next few years, she flew with Benden until the call came for volunteers to populate a new weyr in the Southern Continent.  Excited about the possibility of exploring the Southern Continent, feeling somewhat stifled by the close proximity of her mother, and with Benden overflowing with dragonriders, Ryiah left to join the newly established Sea Cliff Weyr.

Dragon Description:  Larger than most green dragons, Lyrath nearly outweighs many of the blues and is almost thirty feet long from snout to tail.  Her hide is a brilliant verdant, ranging from a darker emerald above to a lighter teal on her undersides.  Her wings are a deep forest-green, so dark they nearly look black except when spread in the sunlight.

Dragon Personality:  Lyrath is as playful and jovial as her rider and enjoys jesting with and sometimes pranking her fellow dragons.  She is also very fond of swimming and sunning herself on the beach.  Unlike many other dragons, Lyrath will speak to anyone with the gift and has often gotten in trouble for eavesdropping on and invading the privacy of other dragonriders.
