Cynthia Jane Holloway was born on 12 July 1897 in Manhattan, NY to wealthy parents, Edward & Vivian Holloway. Her father is the founder and president of a successful oil company, Holloway Petroleum Enterprises. Her mother was a famous ballet dancer and is now a revered host on the New York socialite scene.

Cynthia attended various prestigious New York schools before studying History and Archeology at Oxford University, England. She graduated with a BA (Hons) degree. After graduating she used her very generous trust-fund to finance her globe-trotting ways. She likes to travel to the far-flung corners of the world to observe the sites of ancient civilizations first-hand. Whenever she travels she is accompanied by the long-serving and loyal family man-servant, Mr Imran Singh.

Her Maid's name is Anna Grey. She's a native to New York state (Colgate, specifically). While she wasn't father's first choice, she is Cynthia's, owing to her being younger, quieter, and better able to keep a secret than the other maids. Cynthia sometimes brings her along (when she expects to be staying somewhere for a while or reliable service won't be available). The plan is to bring her along for the remainder of the journey, although a decision will have to be made should the party have to begin bush-whacking. Anna does have some free time to herself, mostly a few hours in the middle of the day, and she does get a salary she can spend on what she likes. However, she being a shy, somewhat educated girl, Cynthia expects she'll be visiting museums more than pubs.

When not traveling overseas, Cynthia is a fixture on the upper-class social scenes of New York, London, and Paris. She is currently engaged to professional tennis ace, Jonathan Connors, although this is mainly to appease her father, who wishes for her to marry, settle down, and give up her independent lifestyle.

Cynthia is slim, petite and always dresses impeccably in the latest fashions from exclusive 5th Avenue boutiques. She speaks with a plummy upper-class East Coast accent, although occasionally lapses into an English accent due to her time spent in Oxford and London. She speaks fluent French and is well-versed in Latin.

Cynthia’s hobbies include sailing her yacht ‘The Providence’, ballet dancing, and country pursuits such as horse-riding and clay pigeon shooting.
